About the Company / Team
Join a technology-driven infrastructure and application operations team responsible for managing enterprise Oracle environments. The team focuses on delivering secure, scalable, highly available and reliable database, application and middleware services across on-premises and cloud platforms.
The role involves collaborating with cross-functional infrastructure, database, middleware and application teams to ensure operational excellence, business continuity and continuous service improvement.
The candidate should also possess scripting and automation capabilities, exposure to cloud infrastructure, particularly Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI), and the ability to support complex production environments.
Key Responsibilities
- Oracle Applications & Database Administration: Administer, maintain, patch, upgrade, clone and refresh Oracle Applications 11i/R12 and Oracle Database environments, including database upgrades to 19c and support for multi-node application architectures.
- Fusion Middleware & WebLogic Administration: Install, configure, manage, patch and troubleshoot Oracle WebLogic Server, SOA, OBIEE and Fusion Middleware environments, including standalone and clustered deployments, JDBC Data Sources, JMS configurations, SSL and application deployments using WLST and administration utilities.
- High Availability & Disaster Recovery: Maintain highly available Oracle environments across multiple data centers using Oracle RAC, Active Data Guard, standby databases, clustering, load balancing, switchover/failover procedures and disaster recovery synchronization mechanisms.
- Infrastructure & Production Support: Coordinate infrastructure, database, middleware and application changes; manage planned downtime; resolve critical production incidents; and ensure service restoration within defined SLAs in 24×7 environments.
- Performance Optimization & Capacity Management: Monitor system health, analyze performance bottlenecks, perform capacity assessments and implement proactive improvements to enhance application availability, scalability and reliability.
- Automation & Operational Excellence: Develop and maintain Python and shell scripts to automate administrative activities, streamline deployments, minimize manual interventions, reduce recurring incidents and standardize operational processes.
- Cloud Infrastructure & Migration: Provision, administer and support Oracle environments on cloud platforms, particularly OCI, and contribute to on-premises-to-cloud migration, infrastructure modernization and operational integration initiatives.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration & Troubleshooting: Work closely with infrastructure, database, application and customer teams to diagnose complex technical issues, implement preventive measures, maintain operational documentation and support mission-critical business services.
