Must‑Have Technical Skills

  • GitHub & GitHub Actions: In‑depth, hands‑on experience with repository management, branching strategies, CI workflows, and pipeline troubleshooting.

  • Harness (CI/CD): Strong experience designing and operating CI/CD pipelines, managing deployment strategies, and supporting release orchestration.

  • JFrog Platform (Artifactory, Xray): Proven expertise in artifact management, repository configuration, security scanning, and CI/CD integrations.

  • Kubernetes & Linux: Practical experience supporting containerized applications and Linux-based environments, including:

    • System administration and troubleshooting

    • Performance, permissions, and networking

    • Operational stability and reliability

    • Basic Knowledge in AWS Cloud services like IAM, S3, Workspaces, Cloud Watch etc.

    • Linux concepts and command knowledge

    • Build and manage containers

    • Understanding of containerized workloads

    • Kubernetes triaging and deployment

  • Programming & Scripting Languages: Working knowledge of:

    • Python

    • TypeScript

    • Java

  • Technical Leadership & Guidance: Ability to guide development teams, review solutions at a high level, and ensure adherence to engineering best practices, even when not writing code on a daily basis.

  • Jenkins: Hands-on experience configuring pipelines, maintaining jobs, and integrating Jenkins with modern CI/CD ecosystems.

  • Multi‑Platform CI/CD Environments: Familiarity with organizations operating or transitioning across multiple CI/CD and deployment platforms.

  • Monitoring, Logging & Observability

    • New relic, Grafana and Splunk usage and understanding

    • Monitor system health and performance

  • Security & Compliance: Managing secrets/passwords/Certificates/Access Controls for tools

  • Release & Deployment Management: Understanding of Release & Deployment Management and strategies

  • System Reliability & Troubleshooting

    • Handle production incidents

    • Perform root cause analysis (RCA)

As a Software Engineering Manager, you’ll be responsible for a suite of in house or third-party applications. You'll lead teams of technology professionals to enable business outcomes and provide dependable customer-centric solutions and experiences.

Job Description

Key Responsibilities: 

  • Responsible for applying secure software and systems engineering practices throughout the delivery lifecycle to ensure our data and technology solutions are protected from threats and vulnerabilities. 

  • Partners with leaders to ensure a viable total cost of ownership and ongoing health and wellness of applications. 

  • Assists in the development and implementation of application suite roadmaps through the evaluation of business needs, competitive landscape, technology currency and information security considerations. 

  • Manages risk mitigation controls and provides support for internal and external audits. 

  • Supports the engineering build of the application suite and non-technical efforts for the products. 

  • Represents voice of the customer, acts in a forward-facing role to business partners as an active member of a portfolio management team in the advocation of business case development, planning, financial management and evaluation of portfolio. 

  • Hire and develop talent, provide consistent coaching and feedback. 

  • Responsible for delivery availability and resiliency following established operating  

May perform other responsibilities as assigned. 

 

Qualifications & Experience: 

 

Education: 
Undergraduate studies in computer science, management information systems, mathematics, or related field is strongly preferred. 

 

Experience: 
Six years of experience in application suite management with four years or more leading numerous teams across multiple technologies. Proven experience/understanding of concepts and techniques in project delivery, budgeting, forecasting and financial analysis. Detailed understanding and knowledge of the systems development life cycle and modern methodologies, practices, tools, and techniques.

Aligned to India business hours with flexibility for global collaboration.
