Job Description – Senior DevOps / Platform Engineering Lead
Position Summary
We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled Senior DevOps / Platform Engineering Lead to drive the development, support, and optimization of enterprise CI/CD, artifact management, container orchestration, and developer enablement platforms. The ideal candidate will possess deep technical expertise across modern DevOps technologies while providing technical leadership, operational guidance, and platform support to engineering teams. This role requires a strong combination of hands-on platform engineering experience, troubleshooting capabilities, automation expertise, and stakeholder collaboration.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, implement, maintain, and optimize CI/CD pipelines and software delivery processes.
- Provide operational support and governance for source code repositories, branching strategies, build pipelines, and deployment workflows.
- Manage artifact repositories, security scanning solutions, and integrations across the software development lifecycle.
- Support Kubernetes-based containerized applications and Linux environments, ensuring high availability, scalability, and operational stability.
- Troubleshoot platform, application, infrastructure, and deployment issues across development, test, and production environments.
- Partner closely with development teams to provide technical guidance, best practices, and platform support.
- Drive continuous improvements in deployment processes, automation, observability, reliability, and developer experience.
- Support release planning, deployment strategies, production readiness activities, and release orchestration.
- Contribute to security, compliance, access management, secrets management, and certificate management initiatives.
- Participate in production support and on-call rotations, driving incident resolution, root cause analysis, and continuous improvement initiatives to enhance platform reliability and operational excellence.
- Mentor engineers and promote engineering excellence, DevOps best practices, and operational maturity across teams.
Required Technical Skills
GitHub & GitHub Actions
- Deep hands-on experience with repository management and governance.
- Strong understanding of branching strategies and source control best practices.
- Experience designing, implementing, and maintaining CI workflows using GitHub Actions.
- Proven ability to troubleshoot and optimize build and deployment pipelines.
Harness (CI/CD)
- Strong experience designing, implementing, and operating CI/CD pipelines.
- Expertise in deployment strategies, release management, and release orchestration.
- Experience supporting enterprise-scale software delivery platforms.
JFrog Platform (Artifactory & Xray)
- Proven expertise in artifact management and repository administration.
- Experience configuring and maintaining artifact repositories.
- Strong understanding of security scanning and vulnerability management using Xray.
- Experience integrating JFrog solutions into CI/CD pipelines and engineering workflows.
Kubernetes & Linux
Practical experience supporting containerized applications and Linux-based environments, including:
- Linux system administration and troubleshooting.
- Performance tuning, permissions management, and networking fundamentals.
- Ensuring operational stability, reliability, and platform health.
- Strong understanding of Linux concepts and command-line operations.
- Experience building and managing containers.
- Understanding of containerized workloads and deployment patterns.
