Job responsibilities
  • Lead daily exception monitoring and triage at cutoffs; set prioritization and escalation standards; ensure timely escalation of material issues.
  • Oversee and perform alert investigations using instrument data, rule logic, and prospectus terms to confirm validity; handle/review high-severity or complex cases.
  • Drive false alert remediation with Data Management and Rule/Technology teams; validate fixes in test and production; own false-positive reduction themes and outcomes.
  • Own compliance run management end-to-end (schedules, dependencies, reruns) to meet SLAs; implement run health monitoring and contingency processes.
  • Lead data feed/import issue resolution with providers and internal stakeholders; interpret flat files/feed logs; document outcomes and preventive actions to avoid recurrence.
  • Manage stakeholder engagement across Operations, Technology, Investment teams, and third-party vendors; run governance routines and escalate effectively to achieve timely resolution.
  • Produce and present MI/reporting (alert volumes, false positive rates, turnaround times, run timeliness, SLA adherence) and translate insights into capacity, control, and process improvements.
  • Maintain strong audit and documentation discipline (evidence, audit trails, decision logs, procedures); ensure processes remain current, effective, and audit-ready.
  • Provide people management: coach and develop team members, manage performance, ensure coverage planning, cross-training, and a strong risk & controls culture.
Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills

  • 12+ years of direct people management experience, including coaching, performance management, and driving delivery under SLAs.
  • Strong experience in Fund Servicing, Fund Accounting, Middle Office, Investment Operations, Reference Data Operations, or Investment Compliance Operations.
  • Hands-on experience with breaks/alerts, daily cutoffs, prioritization, escalation, and defensible decision-making.
  • Ability to interrogate datasets to validate rule triggers and exception drivers; strong comfort with spreadsheets and data analysis tools.
  • Strong RCA capability; experience partnering with Tech/Data teams to raise defects, validate fixes (UAT), and deliver durable remediation (not just short-term closure).
  • Experience producing and presenting operational MI/KPIs (volumes, ageing/TAT, false positives, run timeliness, SLA adherence) to drive action and improvements.
  • Strong documentation discipline—evidence capture, audit trails, procedure maintenance, and control effectiveness.

Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills

  • Understanding of investment instruments, portfolio structures, market data concepts, fund restrictions, and prospectus-driven controls.
  • Familiarity with issue tracking tools and structured exception management workflows.
  • Familiarity with rule-based compliance engines, rule logic interpretation, scheduling/runs, dependencies, and rerun management.
  • Experience troubleshooting data imports/feeds, interpreting flat files and feed logs, working with data providers/vendors, and implementing preventive controls.
