Bring your technical product expertise to build scalable, resilient capabilities and improve client experiences.

As a Product Manager (Vice President) at JPMorganChase within the Commercial and Investment Bank in the Payments Treasury unit  you are an integral part of the team that innovates new product offerings and leads the end-to-end product life cycle. As a core leader, you act as the voice of the customer and develop profitable products that provide customer value. You guide product launches, gather feedback, and ensure strong client experiences. You collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality products with a focus on scalability, resiliency, and stability.

This role focuses on setting product direction, leading discovery, and delivering iteratively with an agile team to improve adoption, customer experience, and operational outcomes. The scope includes building partner-ready platform capabilities, supporting safe and compliant launches, and managing external integrations with networks and vendors. The role requires comfort using data to define success metrics, evaluate trade-offs, and drive prioritization decisions. The role also includes evaluating where artificial intelligence can create practical customer value within product experiences and workflows.

Job Responsibilities

  • Set product strategy and vision for your product area to deliver clear customer value, and translate that vision into a prioritized roadmap.
  • Lead customer discovery and market research (for example, interviews with treasury, accounts payable, and procurement; analysis of card usage, activation, and spend leakage) to identify problems worth solving and validate solutions.
  • Own the product backlog end-to-end, including prioritization, clear requirements, and well-defined acceptance criteria that align to the strategic roadmap and value proposition.
  • Deliver iteratively with an agile team of engineers and designers by driving sprint planning, reviews, release decisions, and trade-offs across scope, timeline, and quality.
  • Build platform- and partner-ready capabilities by shaping application programming interface products, sandbox experiences, and developer documentation for financial technology partners, enterprise resource planning platforms, and accounts payable automation providers.
  • Coordinate cross-functionally across the bank (risk, compliance, legal, fraud, operations, technology, and sales) to ensure launches are safe, compliant, reliable, and on schedule.
  • Manage external partnerships and integrations with networks and vendors (for example, Visa, Mastercard, processors, and financial technology partners) to deliver new capabilities.
  • Define and track success metrics by establishing a key performance indicator framework and reporting to leadership across adoption, spend volume, interchange revenue, Net Promoter Score, time to onboard, cost, risk posture, and reliability.
  • Evaluate and introduce new technologies where they create client value, including artificial intelligence–driven expense categorization, enhanced fraud signals, and automated or agent-based payment flows.

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills

  • 4+ years of product management experience, including ownership of a shipped digital product, additionally 7+ years combined experience in product management, engineering, or payments roles
  • Hands-on experience in payments, card products, banking, or financial technology.
  • Track record of shipping in agile teams, including writing user stories, managing a backlog, and making scope trade-offs.
  • Working knowledge of application programming interfaces and platform products, including the ability to read interface specifications and discuss design trade-offs with engineers.
  • Comfort with data, including defining metrics and using analytics to drive decisions; ability to read or write Structured Query Language (SQL)
  • Clear written and verbal communication skills, from engineering stand-ups to executive readouts.
  • Experience working with risk, compliance, or legal partners in a regulated environment.
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.

Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills

  • Demonstrated experience working in a highly matrixed, complex organization.
  • Experience at a financial technology firm or in a bank–financial technology partnership, including embedded finance or banking as a service.
  • Commercial card, business-to-business payments, or treasury experience (for example, purchasing card, travel and expense, virtual card, accounts payable automation, or supplier enablement).
  • Familiarity with card network rules, interchange economics, and issuer processing.
  • Exposure to enterprise resource planning and spend platforms such as SAP, Oracle, NetSuite, Coupa, or Workday.
  • Engineering background or technical degree.
  • Experience applying artificial intelligence or machine learning in a product, with awareness of model risk governance expectations; knowledge of real-time payments rails (such as the Real-Time Payments network and the FedNow Service) and a Master of Business Administration are a plus.
