Job Position
This position with Honeywell PMC FP P&E-Sales Support to provide necessary Engineered support to Y Special Products for Pre & Post Orders.
The reporting line would be directly to PMC P&E Front Office Team Leader - Field Products.
The candidate would co-ordinate with customers, channels partners, sales, marketing, technology, other estimating, Sales Support resources & factory
2. Principal Responsibilities
The following would be main responsibilities but not limited to:
- Complete Ownership of Y Special Pre-Order deliveries & extend support for preparation of order booking package.
- Ensure overall productivity of the team through necessary co-ordination and support and provide guidance when required.
- Interact directly with customers, channels partners, sales, marketing, technology, other estimating/ Sales Support resources & factory to establish requirements of proposal makings.
- Take active part in development, co-ordinate and implement the standard Global Y specials templates and processes of Global Sales Support Tools like SFDC, CPQ and SAP etc. for professional proposals that demonstrate business benefits.
- Follow required work flow and other processes within the team. In case of need, drive the change in SOP to avoid redundancy.
Pre-Order responsibilities:
- Consolidate and maintain Proposal log.
- Co-ordinate & support on overall work load of Estimation with other team leaders or Senior Managers globally.
- Manage assigned task effectively and efficiently in a team environment.
- Willingness to lead programs to introduce new value proposition for Honeywell Products along with Marketing.
- Involved in NPI projects and actively contribute to data assimilation.
- Provide pre-sale quotations on Y specials for Pressure, temperature, wireless, level, flow transmitters with MVs, Remote seals, temperature Elements etc
- Review and validate customer requests. Provide alternate technically appropriate and cost effective solution.
- Provide pricing and delivery estimation.
- Validate the Yearly Pricebook on an annual basis. This will be done through co-ordination between Marketing, finance and SAP team.
- Focus on 3rd party products vendor approvals.
- Answer technical queries coming in from different stake holders like Sales/ Estimation etc.
- Responsible to validate the cost for a given solution.
- Responsible to build/modify and maintain all relevant and sufficient templates for smooth execution of request.
Post-Order Responsibilities:
- Review and validate Y Special orders and release to Manufacturing like Manifold Valves, Remote Seals, temperature Elements etc.
- Assign special parts
- Create/Modify related drawings and release them through Engineering Change Notice process.
- Create/Modify engineering specs
- Add engineering specs to order notes and release orders to Manufacturing
- Answer queries coming in from different stake holders like Order Management Team, Factory Engineering. Technical Assistance Center etc
- Preparing Drawings and coordinating with vendors for Y special products every year.
- Developing and maintaining Y special share point data base.
- Management of Share point updates and generate report. Update quotes in Share points.
- Timely resolution of problem orders. Works closely with factories to respond quickly to customer order problems and resolution needs.
- Utilization of the Honeywell order system (SAP) to set up new parts in the system. Including costing/vendor quote and part descriptions
- People Management: Manage personal time and work flow to meet established goals of the team. Might have to work late evening and on weekends sometimes as the job profile requires supporting sales region globally.

Qualifications
Education Required
- Bachelor’s degree – Preferred in technical field like: Instrumentation Engineering, Automation, Technology (or equivalent knowledge / experience in the field)
2. Work Experience Required
- 10-12 years of experience in Instrumentation sales support / Engineering.
- Experience in supporting customers / end users in multiple verticals and networking with OEMS, EPCs and consultants.
- Experience in understanding different cultures and customer buying process within a region can be an added advantage
3. Technical Skills & Specific Knowledge Required
- Knowledge of Field Instrumentation Products like Pressure, temperature, Flow, Level, Analytical, Recorders and other process instruments.
- Knowledge of products and solutions in industrial automation
- Knowledge of SAP and factory process
- Understanding of customers’ business including decision making and buying behavior.
- Exceptional knowledge of internal sales process and systems required to provide superb customer service
- Understand and generate the value proposition.
- Experience and knowledge of our customer’s businesses and drivers.
- Proficient with computer based business software/automation tools.
- Understanding of major competition and their product features and functionalities.
- Must be able to coordinate well with all stake holders.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office, Excel, Adobe Acrobat, SFDC, CPQ, Microsoft SharePoint, and SAP along with other web-based collaboration tools.
