Job Title: Director, Engineering - CRM Platforms
The Purpose of This Role
As a Director, Engineering - CRM Platforms, you will apply your strong Cloud experience to develop solutions in support of Fidelity’s Engineering teams. This position involves working with an exceptionally passionate team whose job is to build platforms and solutions in support of Fidelity’s cloud journey. The ideal candidate for this position will have to lead and scale our CRM technology platform, with a strong focus on Salesforce ecosystem and Java-based enterprise integrations. This role will be responsible for driving CRM strategy, architecture, and delivery across customer, advisor, and operations domains, while ensuring scalability, security, and regulatory compliance expected in a global financial services organization.
The ideal candidate is a hands-on technology leader who combines deep Salesforce expertise with strong Java/API integration experience, proven people leadership, and the ability to partner closely with business and global technology stakeholders.
As a leader, you would work towards ensuring stability, availability, compliance & maintenance of Associate Digital Experience systems. In conjunction to this, the role also requires to work closely with Product Area Lead and all partners to remove any impediments or blockers in delivery as part of people management. Will develop a team of senior engineering professionals which involves talent reviews, performance, compensation, goal setting, development & talent recruitment practices.

- Set functional Team objectives & KPIs
- Own platform roadmaps, architecture, reliability, and lifecycle management.
- Leading technology solutions to deliver business value across scrum team(s) by creating intuitive solutions to real world business problems.

Technical / Behavioral
- Expertise in providing leadership support by providing technical solutions
- Define and own the CRM engineering strategy and roadmap, aligned with Fidelity’s business objectives and enterprise architecture standards
- Lead architecture and design of Salesforce platforms (Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, Experience Cloud, custom Lightning solutions)
- Drive Java-based API and microservices integrations between Salesforce and core enterprise systems (customer data platforms, transaction systems, data lakes, middleware)
- Ensure solutions are scalable, resilient, secure, and compliant with financial services regulations (data privacy, audit, access controls)
- Drive technical decision-making on critical architecture choices, technology selections, and platform investments
- Ensure high engineering standards through code reviews, design reviews, and operational excellence practices
- Experience with cloud-computing / cloud services platforms (e.g. AWS)
- Drive innovation initiatives including AI-powered SDLC automation, next-generation orchestration, and platform modernization
- Ensure solutions are scalable, resilient, secure, and compliant with financial services regulations (data privacy, audit, access controls)
- Establish frameworks for identifying, prioritizing, and systematically reducing technical debt
- Promote experimentation and prototyping culture while maintaining production stability
- Stay ahead of industry trends in cloud-native technologies, distributed systems, and AI-assisted development
- Proficient social skills with an ability to clearly articulate to both technical and non-technical partners
- Incident management and resolution in situations of production outages.
- Relevant certifications in public cloud services (e.g., AWS, Salesforce) is highly desirable
- Solid experience in people management practices like managing talent reviews, performance, compensation, goal setting, development etc.
- Experience in Agile practices like Scrum/Kanban
- Getting the team future ready through upskilling
- Extensive experience in supporting high-volume data in production. Deep experience with common issues related to scalability, availability, intelligent monitoring, performance, and how to design proactively to avoid them.
- Ability to prioritize the work based on strategic nature, importance, and vitality.

The Expertise We’re Looking For
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer science or any other subject area
- Proven track record of building and scaling engineering organizations from 10 to 20+ engineers
- Strong people leadership skills with demonstrated success in coaching, mentoring, and growing technical leaders.
- 16+ years of demonstrable experience in Salesforce and Cloud technology role and talent management
How your Work Impacts the Organization
As a leader, you would work towards ensuring stability, availability, compliance & maintenance of Fidelity databases, Migration of database to Cloud, handling database in cloud on RDS and Provisioned Systems, ensuring data security and compliance, Database Resilience and involved in Change Management, Incident Management & Problem Management. In conjunction to this, the role also requires managing a legacy system migration into modern technology stack. Also work closely with Product Area Lead and all partners to remove any impediments or blockers in delivery as part of people management. Will develop a team of senior database professionals which involves talent reviews, performance, compensation, goal setting, development & talent recruitment practices.
Location: Chennai – DLF (India)
Shift timings: 11:00 am - 8:00pm
