We are seeking a skilled Data Scientist with strong expertise in classical machine learning, statistical modeling, and Python-based analytics to support a high-scale sports, media, and digital engagement ecosystem. The role focuses on building and deploying predictive models, segmentation frameworks, recommendation signals, and data-driven insights that enhance user engagement, content performance, and business decision-making. You will work closely with data engineering, BI, and AI/ML engineering teams to translate complex datasets into actionable models and measurable business impact. This is an offshore role supporting a globally distributed data science and analytics organization
Responsibilities
- Data collation, processing, cleaning & transformation along with feature engineering and model development.
- Hands-on with model training, evaluation & fine tuning.
- Ensure output’s thorough quality check & provide analytics driven insights and next steps in involved project(s)
- Actively own & manage client deliverables.
- Effectively engage with client & translate client business requirements into equivalent analytical problems.
- Understand data and different platforms used by the client.
- Actively contribute towards design methodology for problem solving.
Analyze large & complex data sets to derive valuable insights
Qualifications
- Relevant experience in data science/ data analytics role with an end-to-end understanding of ML based project’s development & implementation
- Proficient in building and deploying Machine Learning (Predictive & Prescriptive modelling), NLP
- Proficient in tools / languages like SQL, Python, MS Excel, and Visualization basics
- Good understanding of Probability & Statistics
- Hands-on experience in Azure is a plus
- Good communication skills
