Role Overview
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Apprentice to join our Personal Trading team. The role provides hands-on experience in monitoring employee trading activities, supporting compliance processes, and ensuring adherence to internal policies and regulatory requirements. This is an excellent opportunity to develop a strong foundation in compliance, financial markets, and risk management.

The Apprenticeship Program is a 12-months opportunity in India. The Program will provide Apprentices with on-the-job-training supporting one of Citi's Business Groups. Opportunities are offered in Banking, Markets, Services, Wealth, Operations, Technology, Internal Audit, HR, Services, Risk and Control)
Key Responsibilities
Assist in monitoring employee personal trading activities to ensure compliance with internal policies and regulatory standards.
Support trading statements review.
Escalate exceptions or trades not pre-cleared to senior team members.
Assist in preparing reports and dashboards for internal stakeholders.
Conduct basic data analysis to identify trends in personal trading activity.
Support audit, regulatory inquiries, and internal reviews as required.
Skills & Qualifications
Pursuing or recently completed a degree in Finance, Economics, Business, Law, or related field.
Strong attention to detail and analytical mindset.
Basic understanding of financial markets, instruments, and trading concepts.
Proficiency in MS Excel and other Microsoft Office tools.
Strong communication and organizational skills.
Ability to handle confidential information with integrity and professionalism.

Bachelor’s or master’s Degree
Without prior work experience history
No ESIC/EFP account
Ability to relocate domestically
Note: Candidates shortlisted will have to register themselves as an apprentice via the government apprentice portal
Certifications (Exposure preferred, Not mandatory)
CFA (Chartered Financial Analyst) – partial or completed
FRM (Financial Risk Manager)
NISM / local securities market certifications (India: NISM Series VIII, VII, etc.)
CPA / CA (for roles interacting with financial reporting or insider controls)
Desirable Exposure
Capital markets, securities regulations, or brokerage operations
Familiarity with equity, derivatives, and fixed income instruments
