Function Description

Balance Sheet Assurance Team (BSA) team in Global Financial Operations, Controllership, manages the foundational accounting for Cardmember spend, Remittances and Merchant payments along with various other operational accounting processes that is core to a Credit Card domain. The team liaison with broader controllership, technology / product, and servicing teams to ensure financial integrity is embedded in the end-to-end process.

How will you make an impact in this role?

This role will manage research and clearance-based accounting and reconciliation of B/sheet accounts for Card member Remittance processes which includes accounting and reconciliation of banks and suspense ledgers. In addition, this role will also be responsible to perform other critical activities like Month-on-Month trend analysis to identify any anomaly in general ledgers, preparing journals, metrics analysis, manage queries from key stakeholders, and support ongoing/upcoming business and technology initiatives including any enterprise-wide project.

  • Part of the team responsible for maintaining financial integrity of remittance process.
  • Ability to drive self and team goals with continuous focus on process improvement.
  • Ensure operational resilience through knowledge retention and building back-ups in the team.
  • Be able to proactively highlight, communicate and mitigate risks.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with senior leaders across the organization and build relationships.

  • Ability to manage multiple projects to support enterprise goals.
  • Ensuring financial integrity by reviewing financial information and resolving for any aberration in the financials
  • Effectively coordinate with technology for development / automation opportunities

Leverage New Gen AI tools to bring process effectiveness

Qualifications

  • Minimum Qualifications

    • B.com with 2-3 years or MBA/post grad with 1-2 years of work experience
    • Knowledge of Excel, PowerPoint, BI and other data applications like Cornerstone

    • Well-developed analytical skills, ability to understand the linkages to processes.
    • Demonstrated Accounting expertise.
    • Ability to think innovatively and to pursue ideas with conviction.
    • Excellent team player with strong Inter-Personal skills and communication skills
    • Demonstrate leadership skills needed to create, develop and communicate with diverse work force.
